What is Group Critical Illness?
Group Critical Illness Insurance is used as an employee benefit. It provides employees with a tax-free lump sum after they survive a covered critical illness for 14 days.
Group Critical Illness
Choose either a base level of cover, or extra cover that provides cover against more critical illnesses. On surviving one of the named critical illnesses for 14 days, we will pay out a tax-free lump sum of up to £500,000.
This policy is available to a minimum of 5 lives and is fully-funded by the employer.
Voluntary Critical Illness
As per our Group Critical Illness product, but the policy is taken out by the employer and their staff choose to join and pay for their cover.
This policy is available to a minimum of 50 lives.
Unum Select Critical Illness
Unum Select Critical Illness provides employers with a range of flexible funding options. On surviving one of the named critical illnesses for 14 days, we will pay out a tax-free lump sum of up to £100,000.
The policy is administered online and has a heavy focus on communication to help ensure the product is understood and valued by employees.
