Unum UK officially named a Great Place to Work®
Dorking, Surrey headquartered Unum UK has been certified as a Great Place to Work®.
This prestigious certification is awarded based entirely on how current employees rate their experience working at the leading employee benefits provider, determined by an assessment of workplace culture, policies and practices. Throughout the process, 96% of Unum employees said this was a great place to work – 42 percentage points higher than the average UK company.
Great Place To Work® is a global authority on workplace culture, employee experience and leadership behaviours. The certification process includes asking employees to complete a short, voluntary and confidential questionnaire about what they believe it’s like to work for their employer. It also involves a company culture audit. To earn accreditation, a company must score a minimum of 65% of positive responses in the Trust Index.© Unum’s average score across all Trust Index© statements was 90%.

This month’s accreditation follows a series of previous accolades, including Business Group on Health and Best Employers: Excellence in Health & Wellbeing Award. It also comes as Unum UK has updated many policies over the past year to better support our staff when they need it the most, including signing the Miscarriage Association’s pregnancy loss pledge and the Menopause Workplace Pledge.
